The WILD TURKEY Band is 4 guys and 1 gal that
have played music, individually for many years, with other groups. Two of the guys decided to get together and jam to see
if anything ignites.
The beginning core of the group, bass, guitar, and lead, saw that a specific niche could be fulfilled, country, country-rock,
and R & B.
Later, per chance, the group questioned a visiting female at a rehearsal did she sing and/or has sang. Very shyly, as
she is that way, she tried out her singing skills, reluctantly. Fortunate for both of us and her, she did very well. She
has been working very hard in learning and retrieving new material for the format we have chose.
As a five-piece band, we have the versatility to perform awesome vocals and harmonies, sometime 4 parts.
Backgrounds:
The bass has played with many different groups from gospel to 8-piece Top 40 to include,
River of Life Church of Pt. St. Lucie, FL, Armageddon Band of Rocky Mount, NC, and Solid Gold Band of Stuart, FL.
The lead guitar player has played with many groups in the 70's to include H.I.M., The
Vibratos, and many others.
The female singer has played and sang at many karaoke bars and venues and groups.
The drummer has played with many 60s-70s groups, but he had a 26-yr. interruption with
the enlistment into Uncle Sam's Army as a Tank Commander.
The rhythm/lead guitar and singer has mostly played with local musicians and raising
a family and working making and selling pottery.
